Special Thanks: Mark Smith

I have known Mark for many, many years, and in that time we have grown closer than brothers. Over the years, Mark and I have spent over 130 days living together on the big walls of Yosemite National Park in California. The idea for this project was ours together, and Mark has devoted long hours toward its completion.

Mark wrote many of the documents that appear on this site. He was also a primary editor and offered many helpful suggestions. His advice has been invaluable.

Mark has done all his work on this project while attempting to maintain an extremely busy, indeed overwhelming, lifestyle of personal ministry of his own. And, I have not been very sympathetic of his limited resources at times. I can recall times when I would call Mark to give him a new list of files to write, or to talk with him about some particular. I could hear in his voice how much effort it was going to take for him to do what I asked. Yet, he has always been patient, and went the extra mile (and more)--even when my demands were unreasonable.

Mark has sometimes had to help me see the light at the end of the tunnel during this project. I cannot put into words how much I appreciate Mark's support and friendship.
